Angela Dotterweich
Angela “Angie” Dotterweich, MSW, LCSW, CCTP, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with more than 20 years of experience across behavioral health, health care, military settings, crisis intervention, and outpatient clinical practice. She provides individual therapy using a collaborative, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered approach.
Angie draws from evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, and ACT while tailoring treatment to the individual rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model. Her experience includes working with anxiety, depression, trauma and stress-related concerns, life transitions, relationship and family stress, grief and loss, occupational stress, and emotional dysregulation. Her extensive work within military and health care environments also gives her an understanding of the unique stressors experienced by service members, military families, health care professionals, and others working in high-demand professions.
Angie values cultural humility and recognizes the ways relationships, culture, identity, community, and larger systems can influence mental health and well-being. She believes it is important to understand each client within the context of their lived experiences and strives to provide care that is respectful, inclusive, and responsive to each person’s individual values, needs, and circumstances. Angie is currently pursuing her Doctor of Social Work at the University of New England, where her doctoral education continues to deepen her commitment to advanced clinical practice, ethical decision-making, and continued professional growth. Above all, she believes therapy should be a collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care.
